The factory originally used a hydrogen chloride gas reaction kettle with a stainless steel lining. Due to corrosion, it needed to shut down for maintenance 4 times a year, with a single maintenance cost exceeding 200,000 yuan. After replacing it with a PTFE fiberglass board lining, it has operated continuously for 3 years without corrosion penetration. The comprehensive service life of the equipment has been extended to more than 10 years, and the annual maintenance cost has decreased by 75%.

In chip etching and cleaning equipment, PTFE fiberglass boards are used to manufacture core components such as chamber liners and gas delivery pipes. Its ultra-low precipitation property (ion contamination level < 1ppb) can avoid impurity contamination of wafers, and at the same time, it can withstand the plasma bombardment environment, helping a domestic 12-inch wafer factory increase the equipment utilization rate to 99.3%.

In the flue gas desulfurization (FGD) system, PTFE fiberglass board, as the lining material of the absorption tower, has successfully resisted the corrosion of sulfate slurry at 90°C and pH value 1-2, with a service life of 15 years, which is more than 3 times longer than the traditional rubber lining scheme.

PTFE fiberglass boards are used to manufacture lithium battery electrolyte delivery pipes to avoid metal ion contamination; modified PTFE fiberglass boards are used as the base material for the coating of hydrogen fuel cell bipolar plates, which simultaneously improves conductivity and hydrogen embrittlement resistance.
